Our baby takes after our cat...
1) he makes odd, random "squeaking" noises, especially (but not only) while feeding
2) he seems impervious to loud noises (but he's not deaf either)
3) vaccuuming around him doesn't seem to disturb his sleep whatsoever
4) his poo stinks
Except for point #4, these are great things! Keep it up Kyle!!!!!

Kyle's slaves
Well, little Kyle has had a non-stop stream of visitors, family, and people generally there to spoil the heck outa him... he's being loved as much as a little baby can stand!
Grandma Melanson was here until Thursday afternoon, spoiling Kyle (and mom and dad!) rotten.
Grandma Cazabon got in on the action too! She arrived on the same plane that Judy flew out on! Talk about non-stop attention!
Thursday was a big day, his umbilical cord finally fell off too! There's a belly button under there! (Darn dad did a good job cutting that cord!)
Mom and Dad are looking a little worse for wear, but all in all we're doing fine. This is our FIRST family photo!!!
Of course Auntie Fatima is always a favorite! She's such a natural with the little guy!
Then there's Darielle... still a favorite, but not quite well described as "natural"... (except when talking about hair!) q:] She did pretty darn good though, must be the nieces and nephews that have her broken in.

Baby's Home!
Little Kyle came home on Friday September 5th, to the amazingly helpful arms of Grandma Melanson... the kitties still don't know what to make of Kyle, but I'm sure they'll figure it out soon.

Kyle and Grandma Melanson
Although he was known as "NBM Melanoson" (New Born Male) at the hospital (because mommy's health card still says Melanson!), he's still a Cazabon with Melanson blood. :)
Another cute crib shot
Although not the Ritz, the plastic cribs on wheels were certainly functional.

All's well in baby land
If Kyle continues to be as Angelic as he's been so far, we'll be the luckiest parents in the world! He's not a cryer (yet), and only seems to fuss when there's a good reason for it! We're keeping our fingers crossed...
I guess dad has to give up the camera some time so somebody can get a picture of HIM with Kyle!

Dad's obviously lacking sleep
Despite the email I sent out, Kyle's birthday was TUESDAY September 2nd... right date, wrong day. Oops!
I'm a boy!
Kyle James Cazabon is born...!
Birthday: September 2, 2003
Time: 11:56am
Weight: 7lbs 15 oz.
Length: 21.25"
Cuteness factor: 11
Although he was scheduled for a sugically assisted birth at 2:30pm on the same day, Kyle decided that he wasn't going to let anyone else tell him when he should be born. So, at 5:30am he decided to break his water, sending everyone into a nicely controlled rush to the hospital. He managed to escape almost 3 hours early this way! (He didn't want to miss the first day of school, of course!)

More images are in this folder if you want to see them.
Kyle won't be coming home from the hospital until the weekend because Mommy's still recovering from surgery. Everyone's doing well though, despite a lack of sleep and the occasional getting peed on.
