Villiers la Ville - pics of Auntie Jessy
Dad and Jessy went to an old abandoned abbey to take pictures... cool place to go, he took some (less menacing) ones of me there last year.

Abandoned for fine food. Boo hoo hoo.
Mom and Dad abandoned me for two days and a night so they could go "enjoy their anniversary" in Paris without me. Should I take that personally? No matter, I was well taken care of by Auntie Kim and Flying Circus.

First, me. After all, that's why you're here.

Brush. Teeth. Wow. I can say one of those words - you guess which.

Baby sitter #1. Backup babysitters #2, #3, #4, and #5 required. #6 and #7 were mostly for entertainment and chasing.

Ok, so I guess this is the REAL reason they went away. Glad I wasn't there... yuck!

Seeing as I wasn't actually there, I'll just shut up now and show you the pictures. I don't want to talk about it... Paris sucks.

From the Eiffel Tower

Look - still no Kyle! (grumble...)

At least they're thinking of my future - they saved E2.80 by jumping the turnstile at the metro station. Mom looks very happy about it.

Mom at the Louvre

Easy pick - Mom...

...another easy pick. Mona.

Mom found a new favorite artist - Panini. He makes sandwiches too I think.

They called from the Louvre just to rub it in. Hmmmph.

and then continued having fun.

And I continued playing hard with Uncle Nate. I love Uncle Nate. I must have every toy he touches. I must not ever leave him alone. Wow.

Dad has "chicken arms"... at least that's what Robbie said. :)
My aunties took dad climbing tonight... and by the photos she sure made him look like a newbie! However, he came home with a big smile on his face, so I guess he had lots of fun.

How it should be done.

How it should be done by someone with chicken arms.

She makes it look so easy, doesn't she?

Dad tried to blind her with the flash so he could look better in comparison... it didn't work.

However, she did manage to teach him a thing or two by the end. After getting the toprope knot wrong about 6 times, I think she finally got it through his thick skull.

She even taught him how to belay her - he had the natural weight advantage though. I don't think she realized just how heavy daddy is... dad said she had QUITE the surprised look on her face as she came off the ground when he came down the first time. Jessy had to help keep her grounded for the rest of the night.

I can't wait to see mommy try! Daddy won't be able to type for the next 3 days, so it should be a pretty easy week at work for him after this.

(My auntie Jessy is quite the photographer too! The ones that include dad were all taken by her, great stuff!)

Climbing practice
If you look closely at the previous post you'll see Antie Robyn on the tower... go see it now if you haven't!

Before climbing at the gym, Robyn decided to show dad a few moves:

He didn't quite get it.

If you look even closer, you'll notice something funny about Robbie's picture above and the one of her on the tower. Have fun!

Spider Woman strikes again!
Despite a "broken" ankle, Robyn was insistant to enjoy the local hot spots... at least we got her down in one piece. We're glad her mom wasn't around, I don't think Kim would have survived the experience.

Wow... someone other than dad CAN take photos!
Jessy and Robyn have taken some great photos of me here too... don't tell dad, but I think they're as good as he is!

They went climbing too - I wish I could go. If Robyn can do it with a broken ankle, why can't I do it, right?

Uncle Chuck, they named a checkpoint after you!
Berlin was pretty cool... also a fairly modern city by European standards. I guess there wasn't much left after the war. They do have a very impressive subway system though, which we took everywhere.

Grafeeti in the subway.

Dad really wanted to go see Checkpoint Charley... the most famous gate in the Berlin Wall, where dignitaries crossed and so forth. There's not much left to see, but it was still cool to have been there.

We also saw a Picasso / Matisse / Klee exhibit at a museum... cool stuff, then we were off to an old Royal Palace.

Everyone was tired out at the end of the day, but I still had TONS of energy (and lungs) to let out...

... and then I was done.

... and then I was back up.

... and playing with Mascara.

... and ready to be silly for the ride back home.

Czech, one, two, three, Czech...
Praha (Prague to you foreigners) was pretty cool (and hot, and rainy).

Mom was silly - deciding to walk up 300 steps instead of taking the road around. Why shouldn't she listen to Dad in the first place? :)

Mom still has a thing for men in uniform... still not sure why. Dad made sure you could see both his hands at all times this time.

Jessy and Robyn abandoned me regularly to pose for pictures. However, I retailiated with my pteradactyl impression at the most opportune moments.

I had my shining moments too... occasionally.

There were a ton of cool things to see in town... we walked 400 miles, until the point just before Robyn's foot was going to fall off.

The church was strange - there were buildings put RIGHT in front of it, attached to the front of the church... you had to go through them to get to the enterance. It blocked the bottom half of the church from the main square.

The old Jewish cemetary was strangely interesting... stones packed so tightly that you couldn't read them. Supposedly there are people stacked up to 12 high due to space restrictions (the only cemetary where Jews could be burried for a long time).

We also went on a boat ride. It was a good time to play with my duck.

Our apartment was pretty good - much nicer than a single-room hotel room.

Overall though, I was well spoiled.

And everyone needed a bit of a break.

Werchter Rocks!
My cousins came to town this week, and promptly abandoned me to go off to the Werchter rock festival with Dad... something about Nine Inch Spikes or something like that. Dad was deaf for three days after, but didn't seem to care.
