Being a big brother is a lot of work...
My baby sister came home from the hospital on Wednesday May 17th. It's strange having her around, and she's not much fun to play with. However, I have my own baby doll, and I'm getting pretty good at taking care of her. She's pretty easy to carry around if you grab her by the head.

This is the doctor that delivered Jemma, Dr. Delande.

The nurses at Braine l'Alleud Hospital were amazing! It's weird that they do everything except clean the bathroom... including delivering meals, changing sheets, giving needles, you name it.

Mom couldn't wait to get out, even though the hospital itself was great.

Jemma coming home! Too bad Dad is so cheesy.

Here I am with Jemma. My baby doll is more fun though, people don't hover within 3 inches of me "just in case" with my doll.

I'm getting even better as a photographer. I took this picture of Jemma the day she came home. Cheese!

Meet my baby sister, Jemma!
Friday was a big day for me, I got a baby sister! It's been a hectic few days since, going back and forth to the hospital, taking care of Grandma and Aurora, and making sure that Mama is doing ok.

Mom wanted to make sure she got a good picture with me before going to the hospital.

At the hospital, they moved the operation forward by one hour. This way, mom only had 1 hour to talk on the phone before going into prep.

Dad has dilusions of becoming a doctor some day.

After all kinds of prep work, and a few hairy moments with the anetheseologist, out popped Jemma. She's kinda goopy here, but the doctor insisted it was "Natures Best Beauty Cream". It's almost impossible to wash off anyways, so dad gave up.

The layout of the O.R. was much better than when I was born. Jemma was in sight of Mommy all the time.

Strangely enough, Jemma has never had an ID bracelet on...

Having Grandma here is the best treat of all though, she spoils me great!

We've had lots of visitors too. This is Mommy's friend Misty.

For some weird reason, all the visitors want to see Jemma's toes. The only thing I know about toes is that if you're not careful, the dinosaurs will eat them while you're in the bath!

And finally, this is Jemma.

This picture actually looks just like the one of me when I was born. I'll have to link to it later so you can see.

I miss Mom, but it's all worth while for getting a new sister.

The doctors here don't seem to come around much - I guess they just trust that mom and dad know what they're doing. However, they've given Jemma a clean bill of health, with my help of course. I had to tell the doctor all about what Jemma has been doing: "Doctor! Baby poo poo, baby cry!"

Baby cute!

They know how to treat mothers in this country though - not only do they keep mom in the hospital for over a week, they give her beer for lunch!
