Look who's standing!
Hey everyone! Look who's starting to stand! Dad only held me up to take my clothes off for my bath, but I figured I could stand on my own, so I refused to let go of the bathtub edge. This standing stuff is cool, I'll have to try it more often.

Kyle and I have baths together, he's lots of fun to play with. However, we do fight over the bear cusion some times.

(this is actually an older photo, but it fits well, so what the heck)

Aren't you proud of us? Mommy and Daddy are... Mom was almost in tears when she saw the photo of me standing. It was something about me growing up SO quickly... I think if I play my cards right, I could get a little brother or sister! Ok, it depends on the day. :)

41 hours in Malta...
Dad went to Malta this week for a dealer meeting. Mommy was a bit jealous. I could tell by the way she used the word "Bastard" every time he mentioned it. She used it in a loving way though, of course.
However, he was on the ground there for exactly 40 hours and 51 minutes, and it wasn't all fun and games like some people think business travel is. Mommy understands that at least, because she's done business trips from heck before too.
Here's how it went:
Land at 11pm, get luggage, then taxi to hotel: 1.5 hours
Go for obligatory drink with dealers that have already shown up: 1 hour

(despite appearances, he's not actually drunk... just tired!)
Do email: 1 hour
Sleep: 6 hours
Do email: 30 minutes
Shower, change, eat, etc.: 1 hour
Look outside bedroom window and notice the beautiful view: 37 seconds

Full-day meeting including doing a 5-hour presentation
Email and phone calls: 1.5 hours
Dinner: ok, so he went to a cool castle called something like Castella Di Baroni: 4 hours

One of Dad's bosses and their dealer from Romaina.

The VP Sales, and MD, along with the Romanian dealer.
More drinks with dealers while getting GRILLED by them over price increases... oh so wonderfully fun conversation was had: 2 hours.
Sleep: 5 hours.
Email: 1 hour
Shower, change, eat, etc: 40 minutes.
More all-day meetings... look out the window for 30 seconds between presentations.

Taxi to the airport (wow, so THIS is what Malta looks like... cool): 30 minutes.
Fly home.

Only in Germany...
Only in Germany would you find this sticker in a rental car:

Dad was in Germany today, and just had to take a picture of that when he returned the car. The real joke is that this is the car:

And yes, it really can do 190 km/h. Really.

Belgian Crop Circles!

I'm glad it's getting to the end of growing season here... I think Dad is getting a little bored of cutting the lawn.
Kyle.
