Yuma - G&G's Pics...
Here are a final few pics sent over by Grandma and Grandpa Cazabon... thanks!

Kyle's just a bit too cool...

I guess not EVERY shot was picture perfect... but hey, he's getting there! His form is pretty great at least!

Once again: Mom and Dad, don't try our stuff... it's just not cool!

Mom and Dad got each Grandma and Grandpa a wine puzzle thing... it's kind of cruel, but fun to watch.

Quadding... not for the timid!
Kyle is growing up a bit too quick... at least that's what Dad thinks. However, Dad's excited that now maybe he has a good excuse to buy new toys and spend the weekends on the links. I'll be there soon too.

So - first the big, cool stuff; Kyle quadding! It's pretty impressive, but unfortunately you'll probably have to have Apple Quicktime installed to see the video (see this link: www.apple.com/download/quicktime/ - and you may have to manually save the file and open it in Quicktime yourself in some cases, sorry! )

Here is the video of Kyle on a Quad! (about 8MB)

For those of you that are format-impaired, here are some pics instead. Even Mom and Dad got into the action.

While Mom lounged in the sun, Kyle took over the motorhome and forced Nikki and Tanya to watch videos... as if he couldn't do that at home... that's my big brother for you though.

Here's Mom and Dad on the Quads first:

And now for Bro...

And Kyle also found a new best friend... he REALLY REALLY wants a dog now. They must be better than cats.

Kyle also got to do two more firsts: light a camp fire, and roast marshmallows! He didn't eat any though... too gooey I guess.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Monkey see, monkey do...

And that was about it for the vacation... except for one last surprise: we took a limo to the airport for the return! It was faster and cheaper than custom-ordering a minivan to hold all our crap... cool!

Next post: some great pics from Grandma and Grandpa Cazabon that Daddy missed!

Back from the USSA!
Well, we just got back from a nice long vacation in the US... more specifically Las Vegas and Yuma. We learned that there's this cool big ball of fire in the sky which makes you warm! It also makes daddy go red... very red... well, kinda lobster-ish really.

There's 135 photos to go through to catch up, and a couple videos. I think we'll have to take this in steps, sorry! Daddy hasn't gotten around to converting the videos into something web-friendly yet.

First though, some pre-vacation pics of Kyle's Little Gym year-end performance!

He's pretty talented, and seems to love it. Maybe he'll be the gymnast, and I'll be the golf pro.

Now for Vegas (round 1... arrival to the USA):

Las Vegas is a great city to adjust to a 9-hour time change in... when we drag Mommy and Daddy awake at 3am, there are tons of cool places to go and things to do! Our favorite was throwing pennies into the canals at the Venetian hotel... kind of a cheap knockoff of Venice. We liked the real one better, but they kinda frowned on pennies in their canals.

There aren't many pictures of Vegas though, because Mommy and Daddy were too busy taking turns going "to work"... and we were too much of a handful for one person to watch and photograph at the same time. :)

We spent over 2 weeks in Yuma at Grandma and Grandpa Melanson's cool new place. It was a bit too "new" looking when we arrived, but in no time we had it in ship-shape (i.e. a perpetual disaster zone). Grandma and Grandpa Cazabon also came down for a few days, and we had a ton of fun with all of them.

One day, we went to a Renaissance Fair too. It wasn't as big as the one the year before, but still pretty fun.

While Mommy had her back fixed, Kyle chilled with Grandma. Watching sword fights is hard work, but we learned how to decapitate my enemy in one fell swoop.

We didn't do as much relaxing as the photos might suggest... it's just that Daddy was too busy chasing us around the rest of the time to take pictures!

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! A Monster!!!!!!!!!!! I'd better eat my toes before he does!

We also went to the Camel Farm for a couple hours - I was surprised to find out that you don't have to plant them very deep, even this time of the year. Some of them camels looked awfully like goats though. We couldn't get close enough to any of the real camels to get good pictures though... they're not very nice.

Next was orange picking! Who knew that oranges grew on trees??? Somebody should start a business selling those things!

Everyone got into the action! We had orange juice and oranges for the rest of the trip. I think Grandma and Grandpa are probably still eating them. It cost 4 bucks. Cheap entertainment for the whole family!

Next was the spa... or the pool... whatever, it was WARM! We loved it, and generally monopolized the pool daily. Our cool new swimsuits were the envy of the retirement village!

We even got to spend a morning down in Mexico. It was pretty cool, and we talked Grandma and Grandma into buying us all kinds of cool stuff! Dad even bought new glasses. He was a bit leery of the street vendors who tried to lure him with offers of discount liposuction, dental work, viagra, or breast implants... really.

Daddy, stay! Sit! Good Daddy.

We also got to see a cool Rodeo Parade in Yuma. It was loud... and early. Not a good combination for Daddy, but he survived.

I've mastered a side-glance-look which I think will finance my college tuition some day... it's irresistible, and certainly gets me anything I want.

Well, I think that's it for the first post. Coming up: quadding!
