House hunting crazy style...
Well, we just had quite an adventure... we went off to our new home town of Rochester to find us a house. Here are the stats:
Days away: 11
Days in Rochester: 9.5 (figure that one out)
Plane rides: 2 (4 for Daddy)
New friends: a bazillion
Houses viewed (inside): about 40+
Houses driven by and nixed: about another 30
Houses bidded on: 2
Number of bids made: 5
Bids accepted: 1
Mortgage: up the yin yang.
Kyle and I played it pretty cool all week... we had to impress our soon-to-be neighbors and schoolmates, right?
Here are some pics of the place we ended up with... it's a long story, but I'm sure you've all heard it by now.

The backyard is HUGE, although we have to put in a hedge to separate it from the "side yard" and road on the one side.

The entryway... dad wants to rear-project stuff on the big window for Halloween. Creepy.

The living room, dining room, and family room. Boy oh boy does it need some TLC and redecorating. This family must have been allergic to color. (There is no U in that... we're 'mericans now. :)

Do I have to tell you what room this is? Still needs some redecorating though, especially that lovely chandelier over the kitchen table.

This is the HUGE "bonus room" above the garage. It's a perfect play room, and maybe some day daddy can build a wet bar up there to go with a pool table. Ha... like we'll ever live in a house THAT long!
And now for the surprises! Here's what Mom and Dad are planning to do before we move in (colors still pending):

It's amazing what a bit of color can do, right? Next, they just have to burn the curtains... and chandelier... and roses...
Well... June 30 can't come soon enough!
Jems.
